Why is @fermah_xyz moving toward programmable execution? The broader opportunity is automation across blockchain applications. Today, a smart contract can enforce rules when a transaction or another supported trigger reaches it. But a complex process may still depend on external infrastructure to initiate each stage. For example: > A lending protocol might need an external service to initiate a liquidation. > A decentralized application might rely on a scheduled job to perform an operation. > An automated strategy might need several systems to coordinate transactions across protocols. These dependencies create additional operational complexity. Fermah's approach is to make the initiation and coordination of workflows part of the infrastructure itself. If a protocol can define the conditions for an action and coordinate the subsequent execution, developers may have fewer separate components to maintain. This becomes particularly relevant as applications become more automated and AI agents begin interacting with blockchain protocols. An AI agent might be able to identify an opportunity, but identifying an opportunity and successfully completing a multi step onchain workflow are two different challenges. Fermah's direction addresses the execution side of that problem.
