Since early September, when the crypto market entered “hard mode,” it has still not been a suitable time for tactical positions to enter. You ask me, and I feel compelled to act—what should I do? Here’s what I tell you: 1. Tight stops and high leverage—whether you’re trading large or small positions—are not appropriate right now. This market is designed to sweep stops repeatedly; it’s normal to lose your position without any meaningful price movement. Don’t think, “It’s just a small amount—I’m just playing around.” Believe me, you’ll slowly lose emotional control as the market teases you, your position size will grow, and then you’ll get hit by a big move. 2. As a pure long trader, how should you approach this market? Let’s use Ethereum as an example: your 2x leverage liquidation price is $1,200—that’s your midpoint. Ask yourself: If the price drops further, do you have a plan for adding more? Would you panic if you had to add until your liquidation hits $1,500? If yes, then set your initial liquidation point at $800 instead. Also, think ahead: If the price surges directly upward, where will you add to your position to fully deploy your capital? And if it breaks out falsely, where will you cut your losses? Once you’ve clearly answered these questions, then enter with a wider stop. Why? Because a return to bear market levels (e.g., back to $1,500) is unlikely, while a continuation of the bull trend (toward $3,000+) is far more probable. In trading, no one can guarantee 100% win rates. We simply place our bets on the side with the higher probability.
