Imagine 1,000 people performing complex cryptographic operations on Ethereum. Instead of Ethereum verifying 1,000 proofs separately, EIP-8288 would combine them into one proof. Ethereum verifies that single proof. Less data, less work on-chain. That's the idea behind EIP-8288.
