What if your NFT had an exit even when nobody wanted to buy it? That’s what caught my attention about @LiquidOrion. Most NFTs depend on demand. When the hype fades, buyers disappear and the floor can collapse. LiquidOrion is trying a different approach 👇 1,555 Orions. 100% of mint revenue goes into the treasury. The team takes 0%. Here’s where it gets interesting: → A backing floor Each Orion has a backing value calculated from the ETH in the treasury divided by the NFTs still in circulation. It starts around $12 at mint, with the potential to increase as supply shrinks. → No buyer needed You can burn your Orion and redeem your share of the ETH, minus a 5% fee. You're not entirely dependent on finding someone willing to buy your NFT. → An interesting supply mechanism If an Orion trades below its backing value, someone could buy it and redeem it. That reduces supply, potentially increasing the backing per remaining NFT. → Borrow without selling You can also borrow against your Orion, up to 100% of its backing value, at 5% fixed interest. → A separate yield strategy The Yield Treasury receives 20% of the 10% royalties and shares trading profits with stakers. Its losses are designed to stay separate from the main backing treasury. And there's one more twist: when an Orion is burned, its traits pass to the next one in line. The collection gradually evolves as holders exit. Full breakdown here: https://t.co/2UoOFiKD8F https://t.co/f6EM9owY75 My takeaway? The market sets the price. The treasury provides a redemption mechanism underneath it. Of course, the backing isn't risk-free. Smart contract security, treasury management, and actual liquidity still matter. Could this be a better model for NFT ownership or does it introduce a different set of risks? DYOR. Not financial advice.
