Ethereum is getting cheaper while the network keeps getting stronger. The average Ethereum transfer fee has dropped from $0.715 on April 21 to just $0.094 today, even with ethereum:native trading at a higher market value than during that April peak. Part of the decline comes from softer mainnet demand, but there is another important side to the story: Ethereum now has much more capacity. Fusaka and growing L2 activity have all helped reduce pressure on Ethereum’s mainnet blockspace. In our view, Glamsterdam could genuinely change how people think about Ethereum: from a network known for its strong foundation and broad ecosystem into infrastructure that is becoming faster, more scalable and more accessible.
