.@variational_io swaps went live few days ago and if we are being honest, the feature is very innovative.. Swaps on variational are also similar to traditional perp dexes (Longing/shorting ETH) but they come with a couple of distinctive differences.. Here are the key differences: - Liquidity comes from the tradfi venues instead of crypto native venues which in turn returns deeper liquidity with little to 0 slippage. - Funding is much more stable with swaps on variational.. You get paid regardless of the direction you choose.. For example, XAU funding on variational is 31% presently while the funding for swaps is 5.77% long and 2.58% short.. - For now, whenever the market is closed, swaps are closed too since liquidity is outsourced from major tradefi venue.. In terms of fees, Swaps offer the most favorable execution cost out there.. On XAU-SWAP long, $1M costs $200 in execution cost On US100-SWAP long, $1M costs $20 in execution cost For now, the OI limit on Variational swap is low but then, they ought to increase it to a $50 million max cap in the coming weeks..
