You don’t necessarily need to be a maritime professional to become part of the data network. Imagine someone near a port simply taking a photo of a vessel. On its own, that might not seem like much. But when you add location, timestamps, AI verification, and other independent observations, that small contribution can become another piece of evidence about what’s happening in the real world. The flow is pretty interesting: → Phone captures the observation → Location adds geographic context → SeaVerity helps validate and cross-check it → Verified contributions strengthen the network → Contributors can earn $vSHIP That turns the phone from just a camera into a potential data collection point for maritime intelligence. And I like the idea that the network doesn’t have to rely entirely on traditional data providers. One person sees one vessel. Another person sees it somewhere else. Other sources provide additional signals. Over time, those small pieces can connect into a much richer picture of maritime activity. The concept sounds interesting, but the real test will be the product itself. With the first public Android test still ahead, I’m much more curious to see how real people actually contribute than to judge the model purely from the theory. The real world is full of data.
