Ethereum is sending another strong on-chain signal. Wrapped Ethereum has just recorded 113,000 whale transactions above $100K in a single week, the highest level since May 2021. WETH is deeply embedded across Ethereum's ecosystem, making it one of the clearest indicators of how capital moves through the network. A spike of this magnitude suggests that large participants are becoming significantly more active. Spot Ethereum ETFs continue attracting inflows, institutional participation is expanding, Layer 2 adoption keeps accelerating, and corporate Ethereum treasuries continue growing. At the same time, new ecosystems like Robinhood Chain are using ETH as their native gas asset, creating additional demand across the broader Ethereum economy. None of these developments guarantee what happens next. But when whale activity reaches a five-year high while multiple fundamental drivers are strengthening simultaneously, it's clear that Ethereum's underlying activity is moving in one direction: higher.
