Robinhood plans to leverage its over 10 million active users to bring retail investors into DeFi. Built on Arbitrum as an Ethereum Layer 2, Robinhood Chain saw its 24-hour DEX trading volume peak at approximately $878 million on July 12, but early activity remains primarily driven by meme coin trading. Its perpetual contracts trading volume amounted to only about $5.9 million, with cross-chain asset inflows totaling around $734 million, while actual TVL stands at approximately $211 million. Originally focused on tokenizing RWAs such as stocks and ETFs, the active market cap of related assets on Robinhood Chain is currently only about $12.66 million; the key moving forward will be whether speculative activity can translate into sustained trading of stock tokens and on-chain lending demand.
