people are acting like decentralization died because arbitrum froze 30,766 ETH tied to the KelpDAO exploit come on decentralization is not a suicide pact If a protocol gets drained and the system has a narrow emergency mechanism to stop stolen funds from leaving, using it is not some betrayal of first principles it is the system doing what it was designed to do, This was not arbitrary censorship they targeted funds linked to the exploit, worked with law enforcement, and did not interfere with other users the real debate is surely not "did decentralization die" it is how much emergency intervention a chain should allow in extreme cases and honestly this is as much an immutability debate as a decentralization one Bitcoin rolled back the 2010 overflow bug Ethereum forked after the DAO hack in 2016 Immutability was never absolute people just prefer to talk about it like it was and letting a thief walk with that amount in the name of purity is not principled at all it is unserious
