Just shortly after Drift was hacked for $285 million, Kelp DAO @KelpDAO has been attacked again, suffering losses of approximately $293 million. The hacker minted 116,500 rsETH out of thin air, most of which were deposited into Aave as collateral to borrow real ETH and cash out. Clearly, as AI grows more powerful, DeFi has become a hacker’s ATM. We recommend that everyone reduce deposits into DeFi protocols for now—proceed with caution. PS: Justin Sun redeemed 53,665 ETH from Aave five hours ago, worth $126 million.
