I was wondering a few weeks/months ago if TradeXYZ could increase its fees by turning off Growth Mode or reducing the fee discount from 90% to 80% for example. I had never traded on IBKR or any other TradFi platform so I checked the fees they charge for futures. For example: 1 ES contract represents around $377k of S&P 500 notional and costs around $2.24 per side on IBKR. Around $1M of notional requires 3 contracts and costs roughly $6.72 per side. On Hyperliquid with the Growth Mode, $1M costs $15 per side as a maker and $45 as a taker. You’re already 2 to 6x more expensive so if you want to compete with Tradfi I guess you can’t increase the fees (sadly for our beloved buybacks :/)
