It's been a long road, but recent chapters tell a simple story. In 2022, I stepped away from leading @paritytech to fully immerse myself in protocols and architecture, in the design and thinking that have always brought me the most joy. Last year, I took the reins as CEO because the foundation had been laid, and the world was finally ready. The architecture had been defined, and the bar had been set. Now the challenge is to deliver results, and that's where I intend to focus my attention. In practice, this means directly leading the technical side of development, turning our carefully crafted prototypes into robust open source software that people can actually use. This is the part of the job I know best and care about most, and that's what the next phase demands. This follows the departure of Pierre Aubert @pierreaubert , who served as VP of Engineering for nearly three years. During this time, Pierre led the development team through one of the most important periods of change in Parity's history and consistently helped us focus on building the technologies that underpin Polkadot's future. He leaves the team in good shape, and I sincerely thank him for his continued success in whatever he undertakes next. For everyone working with us, our direction remains unchanged, and your day-to-day work continues as usual. Thanks to a competent team running the business, I can dedicate my time to what truly matters, and you'll simply see me closer to the development process as it unfolds. This is the most exciting phase of our journey so far. We've spent years laying the foundation; Now comes the much more interesting part: proving what it makes possible, and building the technologies that will make the internet more open, more resilient, and far more human than we found it.
