Today, #Bloomberg listed 24 #AI companies to watch for in 2026. These companies are worth keeping an eye on, as their IPOs could potentially become the center of market attention. ### 1️⃣ Model Makers (The Other Model Makers) These companies are seen as challengers to #OpenAI and #Anthropic, forming a "second tier" and representing emerging AI forces in Europe, China, and Saudi Arabia, focused on AI sovereignty. - **#Mistral (France):** A rising star in European AI, backed by giants Nvidia and ASML. Mistral aims to create a European version of ChatGPT and is collaborating with Nvidia to build a data center in France. With $3 billion in funding and a valuation of $13.6 billion, Mistral represents the pinnacle of European AI startups. Personally, I view Mistral as the most promising non-American foundational AI model company, with strong support from both European governments and Nvidia. - **#DeepSeek (China):** Known for its open-source models that have impressed globally, DeepSeek is regarded as China's "affordable version of OpenAI." Its significance lies not just in technology but in demonstrating that strong models can be developed without burning billions of dollars. By relying on self-funding, DeepSeek showcases exceptional execution capabilities. In my view, its lightweight asset strategy is smart and could become the foundational standard for China's AI ecosystem. - **#Humain (Saudi Arabia):** Backed by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund PIF with a $100 billion investment to develop AI models and chatbots for the Arabic-speaking world. This initiative is considered the "Middle Eastern version of OpenAI." However, Humain faces high execution risks despite its abundant resources, as AI success is not purely dependent on funding. --- ### 2️⃣ Vibe Coders (The Vibe Coders) This category represents some of the fastest-developing #AI applications, focusing on AI-driven coding to boost programmer productivity. I believe this sector holds great potential for commercialization due to the immediate demand for AI-powered coding tools. - **#Cursor (San Francisco):** Formerly known as AnySphere, Cursor aims to create an AI assistant for programmers. With a valuation of $9.9 billion and $1.1 billion in funding, it offers one of the best "programmer-focused ChatGPT" products on the market. Personally, I use Cursor for tasks like analyzing encrypted dashboard panels, and it is a leader in AI coding tools with astonishing growth. - **#Lovable (Stockholm):** A small but highly efficient AI coding platform that generates apps with simple prompts. With a valuation of $1.8 billion and $228 million in funding, Lovable is reportedly popular among European SMEs. I haven’t personally used it, so I can't share much insight. - **#Replit (California):** A veteran online coding platform that has made a strong comeback thanks to its AI transformation. With a $3 billion valuation and $458 million in funding, Replit serves a relatively large developer base. Though I haven’t tried it yet, it has a positive reputation overseas. --- ### 3️⃣ Content Creators (The Content Creators) This category encompasses revolutionary #AI companies focused on generating video, music, and images. These companies are closely tied to “AI entertainment,” where AI is poised to replace significant portions of the workforce, streamlining processes and boosting efficiency in industries known for their complexity and labor intensity. - **#Runway (New York):** One of the earliest companies specializing in AI video generation, used by Netflix and Disney. With a $3.3 billion valuation and $545 million in funding, Runway has become a standard tool for AI-powered film production. - **#Suno (Cambridge):** An AI music company capable of generating songs with vocals in seconds. With a valuation of $500 million and $125 million in funding, Suno’s breakthroughs make music generation more natural. Among current AI music applications, Suno has the most potential to disrupt the music industry. - **#Black Forest Labs (Germany):** A rising star in image generation, collaborating with Meta and Adobe, with core technologies derived from the Stable Diffusion team. Valued at $3.25 billion, Black Forest Labs represents the strong comeback of the Stable Diffusion team and could lead the future AI image standards. --- These companies represent exciting developments across foundational models, coding, and creative industries. If they succeed in going public, they could become key players in shaping the future of AI globally.
