Imagine buying something with a @Concordium Protocol Level Token. You have the asset, but the transaction still needs $CCD for fees. Sponsored Transactions remove that friction. Instead of making the customer acquire $CCD, the merchant can cover the network fee using a $CCD balance maintained for sponsored transactions. The customer simply pays with the asset they already own. The fee has not disappeared. It has just moved from the user to the business. That could make blockchain applications feel much more like normal digital services, while $CCD continues powering the infrastructure underneath.
