this is how sick our ecosystem is. yesterday @momo_mattomo hosted the guy ( @willzweigart ) who created cash cats, the 2011 tumblr of cats posing with money that gave @vladtenev and @BaijuBhatt the original name for their startup. today he runs @flatbushcats, a nonprofit rescuing street cats in brooklyn and running a low-cost vet clinic that sees 100 cats day. there's a lot to say from that space, but one thing shocked me: he says robinhood never reached out. not a partnership, not a donation, not 1 cent. $cashcat entirely built on his lore, peaked at $226m and a private list of pre-mainnet wallets pulled ~$28m out of it. meanwhile momo launched $flatbush and routed the trading fees to the nonprofit. will has already claimed ~$10k. real money for a real clinic, but nothing compared to what $cashcat insiders have made. vlad tweeted that robinhood chain "works great for memes too." sure. the memes worked great for a few hundred wallets that got in before the chain was even public.
