Relational databases are named for "relation," yet they never actually embed relationships within the data—only raw data exists in the tables. Joins create relationships at the query level, not at the data level. Therefore, when AI directly interacts with a relational database, it becomes confused and gives inconsistent responses. That’s why another layer of data—a Knowledge Graph—is needed, one that embeds relationships directly at the data level.
