Humanity is racing toward AGI at full speed and has done exactly nothing to prepare for the day after. Not the Terminator part. The boring part: every system we live inside, law, insurance, banking, software, is secured by economics, not by walls. Attacking it has to cost more than it pays, so a known amount of abuse is simply priced in and the rest stays unexploited because finding it takes a smart person's time. AI makes that time free, and it runs all day. The math every system was built on just changed. Code was safe if smart people looked and found nothing. Now anyone points an agent at it and it looks forever. Anthropic's models found 2,300 vulnerabilities in best open-source projects this summer. One was exploited 4 days after disclosure. Hospital billing assumed nobody would scan every lab value for every patient looking for an extra diagnosis code. AI coding tools do. Blue Cross Blue Shield says that added close to $1B to its claims in two years, and 70% of it came with no change in care. Interest on cash assumes most people will not move money into Treasuries because it is slightly annoying. An agent is never annoyed. Legal, medical, tax, government forms: all priced on friction. All of that friction was a wall, and the wall is gone. One industry has been building for exactly this world for fifteen years: assume every participant is smart, selfish and tireless, and design the system so it still produces something good. That is what a blockchain design discipline is. It was a strange hobby and it is about to be the only way to build anything that holds.
