❤️🔥 Most traders watch one price. A perp risk engine watches three. That’s something I noticed in @DipcoinLabs’ ticker API. For each market, it exposes: → lastPrice → markPrice → oraclePrice → funding rate → open interest Why three prices? Last price tells you where the latest trade happened. Mark price helps determine PnL and liquidation risk. Oracle price gives the external reference. They can be close most of the time. But during volatility, the difference between them matters a lot. That’s the part many traders never think about. A perp doesn’t really have one “true” price. It has multiple versions of truth, each doing a different job.
