A payment name can look familiar and still belong to someone else. That’s the distinction I keep coming back to with @Americanfort_io’s FortressNames. A readable handle gives people something easier to check than a long wallet address. They still need a reason to trust that handle. For a first payment, I’d confirm the exact name through an existing conversation with the recipient. Recognizing a name from a profile or an unexpected message would not be enough for me. The wallet page currently places optional identity and name credential workflows on the roadmap. I wouldn’t assume every registered name already carries verified identity. The useful design challenge is making recipient checks feel natural before pressing Send. A simpler payment flow should help people pay attention to the right detail.
