What if France becomes the next Greece? In 2012, Greece nearly brought the eurozone to its knees. Now imagine the same thing happening to France. €3.6 TRILLION in public debt. 119% debt-to-GDP. A budget deficit above 5%. 10-year bond yields approaching 5%. And France isn’t alone. Italy, Belgium and Spain are drowning in debt too. Now imagine investors start losing confidence in France. Government bonds collapse. European banks take massive losses. Borrowing costs explode across the eurozone. Suddenly, the ECB faces enormous pressure to intervene and inject liquidity into the financial system. And if that intervention destroys confidence in the euro, EVERY European pays the price. Your salary stays the same. Your savings still show the same number. But your purchasing power gets destroyed. I genuinely believe that when things get ugly enough, politicians will choose monetary intervention over letting the system collapse. And ordinary Europeans could pay through currency debasement. This is why I believe owning assets like Bitcoin, gold and equities is becoming increasingly important. Because the last thing I want is to have all my wealth sitting in a currency that governments may have to sacrifice to save themselves.
