Welcome to the digital world @MagicalTux , where security is never absolute (you should have more knowledge now). A hardware wallet is still a physical device, manufactured and assembled by humans. A Secure Element and a Genuine Check can reduce risk, but they cannot guarantee that the device has never been tampered with or that no undiscovered vulnerability exists. And regarding blockchain security, once a public address is exposed, an attacker can target it indefinitely. They can perform unlimited offline guesses without the owner knowing, and the owner may keep using the same keys for years. With properly generated cryptographic keys, brute force is practically "impossible", NOT, but weak key generation, leaked secrets, implementation flaws, and hardware compromises are different stories. The real issue is that people confuse security measures with guarantees. A genuine device check is not proof that every component is genuine or that the hardware has never been modified. Even manufacturers acknowledge limitations to what these checks can detect. Your computer, your iPhone, your hardware wallet, any physical device could theoretically be compromised by an attack that its manufacturer has not yet discovered. Hardware wallets reduce certain risks, they do not eliminate risk. No device deserves blind trust, and no security claim should be confused with a guarantee of absolute safety. ...so here we go again ... Don't Trust, Verify! (if you can)
