I’m giving you another lesson today. Sometimes you’ll see traders on Twitter posting screenshots of how they made millions using high leverage. Some even own private jets, expensive watches, and designer bags. I don’t know how much of it’s real, but let’s assume they’re not lying. Most of these high-leverage traders are people you simply cannot imitate or learn from. High-speed trading requires rapid shifts in perspective—they’ll show you they’re buying one second, and the next second, the market crashes and you follow them into a long position. Yet somehow, they manage to show you they barely escaped with a small profit, and when they make big wins, they flaunt millions. Somehow, it seems they only ever make money and never lose. Any leveraged trader will execute multiple trades in a short time—sometimes ten, where eight might be losses, one breaks even, and just one outperforms all the rest. They won’t show you the risk management techniques that make this possible. After following them for years, you’ll eventually realize it’s all just a fantasy for you. If you try to follow someone who changes their mind every few seconds or minutes, you’ll lose everything. I estimate only the top 0.01% of high-speed traders can achieve long-term success. If you don’t know who you’re following or why, you’ll waste all your time and money.
