i wouldn't let an AI agent touch my trading wallet just because it promises better returns. but i'd be interested in testing one if i could set clear boundaries on what it can do. that's what caught my attention about the Quant tab on @termix_ai. the idea is simple: you choose a trading strategy, set up a job, and let the agent trade within its permitted limits. according to the platform, the agent can trade but cannot withdraw your funds. trades are tracked through onchain transactions, and management fees are held in escrow. i like that distinction because **permission to execute trades shouldn't automatically mean permission to control your entire wallet.** but there's another thing i'd look at before putting money in: the track record. a strategy showing positive annualized returns isn't enough on its own. i'd want to understand its trading costs, drawdowns, how long it has been running, and whether those results came from realized profits or open positions. and i'd start small, if i tested it at all. because transparency doesn't eliminate trading risk, and an agent with limited permissions can still lose the money it's allowed to trade. still, this is an interesting direction for AI agents: moving beyond giving recommendations and into executing real tasks under defined rules. that's a use case worth watching.
