SATOSHI’S COINS AT THE CENTRE OF A NEW BITCOIN FORK CONTROVERSY A planned Bitcoin fork called $ECX is doing something earlier major forks avoided. Previous major forks copied existing balances including roughly 1.1 million coins linked to the Patoshi mining pattern widely attributed to Satoshi Nakamoto. ECX proposes a different allocation. Around 600,000 ECX would remain with the original addresses while approximately 500,000 would be reassigned to project investors and supporters. The project calls this the “Satoshi Half-Airdrop.” No original $BTC is touched. No private keys are compromised. The changes apply only to the new blockchain. Mainnet is targeted around October 31st at Bitcoin block 973,728. If a new blockchain copies Bitcoin’s history but changes who owns some of the resulting coins, is it preserving Bitcoin’s ownership principles or creating something fundamentally different? The market will decide whether these new rules earn trust & adoption. #Bitcoin #BTC #SatoshiNakamoto #Satoshi #Patoshi #ECX #Crypto
