An AI agent needs more than the ability to send a payment. It needs predictable rules for what happens when a task remains unfinished. The bounty flow described by @vangrid_io includes upfront funding and a refund path if a request remains open or expires. That’s an important design consideration when software is initiating real-world work without constant human supervision. The deeper issue is operational safety. Agents need clear spending limits, understandable task states and a reliable way to recover funds when a request doesn't complete. These safeguards may look less exciting than autonomous execution, but they help make automation manageable. In my view, a good agent economy needs failure handling designed into the workflow, not added after something goes wrong.
