The CFTC updated its tokenized-asset FAQs on September 24, covering two things: using tokenized forms of permitted investments for customer funds, and blockchain-based recordkeeping for CFTC-required records. The data behind it: assets covered by this framework now total about $46B - $34.7B in funds, $7.7B in commodities, $3.5B in tokenized stocks. The growth is happening inside the existing regulatory perimeter, not around it, which says more than the headline number.
