I wanted to see if Bitcoin could actually work for me without me having to sell it or wrap it. So I tested @ZestProtocol Bitcoin Collateral Vaults on mainnet. Deposited 0.0004 BTC through Xverse and borrowed 10. 05 USDC on Ethereum thanks to Metamask, do you know the most interesting part my BTC stayed on Bitcoin. The first attempt wasn’t completely smooth, the site was buggy, but when I reached out to the team they helped me clear within hours which was fun and after that, the actual vault experience was pretty clean. I could see my collateral value, borrowing capacity, LTV and liquidation threshold, then watch the transaction progress across the networks until the position opened and honestly, watching BTC remain on Bitcoin while USDC showed up on Ethereum is the part that clicked for me. My overall experience was 8/10 once the team fix the bug it’s gonna be a 10/10 protocol.
