Reputation. I've been thinking about it for about as long as I've been in crypto. For years I've believed two things: whoever properly cracks social in crypto will win big, and cracking social is nearly impossible because it runs on something this app ran out of a long time ago. Trust. It's really no surprise with CT being a cesspool of paid shills, larpers, deleted bad calls and farming followers for exit liquidity. Everyone's default setting on CT is at best skepticism and at worst cynicism about anything you read. But I also know firsthand there are genuinely great callers out there. Sharp and honest traders who deserve a reputation far beyond some of the loudest people on this app. So the question I kept coming back to: how do you build a social product on a social contract this broken? The answer is found in a platform that puts a caller's skill at the centre. And this year the meta has moved in the direction of my thesis. Apps started doing something I'd long thought inevitable - tying real trading to a social graph. People showed up in droves. The demand for trading alongside great callers is obvious and enormous. But social trading has yet to address the one fundamental problem: there is zero correlation between a caller winning and their audience winning. In its current form, social trading hasn't revolutionised anything. It's the same broken CT experience with a trade button. The biggest names on these apps still make their money the same way they always have - off the people following them, not alongside them. Watching yourself get farmed live on a social trading app is arguably a worse experience than CT itself. But that all changes with @forecaster_gg. A platform where good calls are the most profitable thing a caller can make and the most profitable thing you can follow. Same side, same outcome. Great callers finally get paid for being right, and you finally get to see who they actually are. Waitlist opens soon. Social Perps.
