Good morning @quipnetwork ☕️ I want to share a research perspective that completely reframed how I think about the quantum timeline and why @quipnetwork 's positioning is more urgent than most people realize. There's a concept in quantum research called "harvest now, decrypt later" that I've mentioned before. But today I want to go deeper on something adjacent that gets almost zero attention: The asymmetry of quantum readiness. Here's what I mean. When a cryptographically-relevant quantum computer exists whether that's 2028, 2030, or 2033 the actors who have it first don't announce it. Think about that carefully. Every major encryption breakthrough in history was classified before it was published. The NSA was reading encrypted Soviet communications for years before anyone outside knew it was possible. GCHQ invented public-key cryptography years before Diffie and Hellman published it openly. The pattern is consistent: the most powerful entities get there first and stay silent. In that scenario: → You don't know your wallet is compromised until funds move → You don't know which transactions have been retroactively decrypted → You don't know which private keys have already been derived from exposed public keys → The chain keeps running normally while the asymmetry silently widens My long view on this: The quantum readiness gap between well-resourced actors and everyone else is not going to close on a single public announcement day. It's going to widen gradually and invisibly until it isn't invisible anymore. The research literature on this is serious and consistent. This isn't fringe thinking it's the operating assumption behind every government post-quantum migration mandate currently in motion. @quipnetwork 's post-quantum wallet infrastructure, the quantum-resistant cosigner wrapping MetaMask and Ledger and Safe, matters in this specific scenario more than in any other. You are not protecting yourself from a future threat. You are closing an asymmetry that may already exist. I think about this every time I check my node stats and every time I look at my quantum-resistant wallet setup. The research convinced me the urgency is real. The infrastructure @quipnetwork is building is the correct response to that urgency. My honest question for anyone reading this: If you believed there was a 15% chance that a nation-state actor could already derive private keys from exposed public keys on major chains what would you do differently about your wallet security today?
