Why Storage And Compute Belong Together Modern applications rarely depend on just one piece of infrastructure. An AI application may need storage to keep its data, compute to process information, networking to move it, and blockchain infrastructure to coordinate activity. Each layer solves a different problem. But together, they create something more useful: An infrastructure stack. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 AI systems and decentralized applications generate huge amounts of information. That data needs somewhere to live, remain accessible, and be retrieved when required. This is where decentralized storage becomes important. BTFS is designed around that storage layer. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 Storage alone is not enough. AI applications also need computing resources to process information, run models, and generate results. BTTInferGrid focuses on this side of the infrastructure equation by providing a decentralized AI inference layer. Storage provides the data. Compute turns that data into useful output. 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 Then comes the economic and coordination layer. BTTC provides blockchain infrastructure that can support programmable transactions and transparent on-chain activity. Now the pieces start to connect: 1/ BTFS → decentralized storage 2/ BTTInferGrid → AI inference compute 3/ BTTC → blockchain infrastructure Different technologies. Different functions. One broader infrastructure conversation. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 The future of decentralized applications may not be about choosing between storage, compute, or blockchain. It may be about making these layers work together. Data needs somewhere to live. Compute needs data to process. Applications need networks to coordinate activity. And economic systems need infrastructure that can connect everything. That is what makes the broader BitTorrent ecosystem interesting. Not simply as individual products, but as different infrastructure layers addressing different parts of the same digital economy. Storage → Compute → Coordination → Execution. The more seamlessly these layers can interact, the more possibilities open up for decentralized applications. @justinsuntron @BitTorrent #TRONEcoStar
