GPT-6 ASTRA + HIGGSFIELD TURNED SEED CORN INTO A $35,000 SITE THAT LOOKS LIKE A CHIP LAUNCH. the same photograph turns up in every farming brief I open, a field at golden hour with a man in a checked shirt leaning on a fence.. I have nothing against him. he is just useless here, because the farmer looking at that picture is already standing in it.. he is nowhere on this page, and the four decisions below are what it does instead. "IT OPENS IN THE DARK" the first screen is almost black, the headline reads corn, revolutionized, and the root system under the plant glows like a circuit diagram against a deep navy. you will not find soil, sky or a horizon anywhere in that frame. I have lost this argument with agricultural clients more than once, because the instinct in that room is always to show growth and sunshine and a healthy crop.. sunshine is the default setting of the entire category, though, and a black screen sitting in a feed full of golden fields stops the scroll without any help from the copy "THE SECTIONS ARE THE WORK, NOT THE PRODUCT" the page moves through four headings, and they run from first, a solid foundation, through our breeders dial it in further and we take it to the field, ending on testing, testing and more testing. not one of them is about the seed you would actually receive. nobody is buying a bag. they are buying a decision somebody else made four years ago in a greenhouse, and this page walks them through that decision one stage at a time. the product turns up at the very end as a consequence of all that work, and I think a consequence is much harder to argue with than a product shot. "THE PLOT GRID DOES THE SELLING" the strongest frame on the site is the aerial one, with hundreds of test plots side by side in slightly different greens, filling the screen edge to edge. there is no copy on it worth quoting. it works because you can count the failures, since every plot in that picture is a hybrid that did not make it into the bag.. I sat and looked at that frame for a long time before I understood why it landed, and it is simply that a claim about rigour costs nothing to write while four hundred rejected plots cost four years "IT REFUSES TO SHOW HIM HIS OWN FIELD" the one image this category always leads with is the finished crop, and here it barely appears at all. this is the part a client fights hardest, and the objection is always the same, which is that farmers want to see the field. they see the field every day of their lives.. what they have never seen is the four years before the bag arrived on the pallet, and giving them that is the only thing a page like this can actually do for them Full guide in article below
