Information on Quip Network Quip Network is less a project that simply “connects quantum computers to blockchain” and more a structure aimed at addressing both quantum computing and quantum-resistant security simultaneously. According to recent official documentation, it consists of two pillars: a distributed computing network that integrates actual quantum hardware with CPUs and GPUs, and a mechanism to protect assets on existing blockchains using quantum-resistant methods. What makes Quip Network particularly intriguing is not that it seeks to build quantum computers themselves, but rather that it actively contemplates how quantum computing can be meaningfully integrated with existing blockchains. Quantum computing is not a technology that accelerates all tasks like conventional computers. Its core strength lies in solving specific types of optimization and combinatorial problems using fundamentally different approaches. Quip Network focuses on this aspect by aiming to connect quantum hardware, CPUs, and GPUs into a unified distributed computing marketplace. When a user submits an optimization problem, the network routes the task to the most suitable hardware, verifies the result, and rewards the computing provider. Central to this model is Quip’s QPoW (Quantum Proof of Work). While traditional blockchain Proof of Work consumes computational power solely for the purpose of block creation, Quip seeks to tie this computation directly to real-world optimization problems. In other words, the computational effort required to maintain the network does not end in mere hash competition—it aims to generate genuinely meaningful computational outcomes. Another critical focus of Quip in the quantum space is quantum-resistant security. Some of the cryptographic methods widely used in blockchains today could become vulnerable if sufficiently powerful quantum computers emerge. Rather than migrating all existing blockchains to entirely new chains, Quip has developed a Quip Account structure that enables asset protection on top of existing blockchains using quantum-resistant methods. A key element is reducing reliance on elliptic curve cryptography by leveraging hash-based signatures such as WOTS+. This structure is compelling because it seeks to add a separate layer of quantum-resistant protection while preserving the use of existing assets on networks like Ethereum and Bitcoin. QuipSwap further extends this vision. Instead of relying on conventional bridges to trade assets across different chains, QuipSwap implements atomic swaps using cryptographic conditions that ensure both sides of a transaction execute or cancel together. Ultimately, what Quip envisions is not merely a quantum computer network. It seeks to connect a computing marketplace that delivers quantum computing power to those who need it, with an asset security layer prepared for future quantum attacks—all within a single integrated ecosystem. Recently, a testnet has been operational, and the node participation structure utilizing CPUs, GPUs, and QPUs has been publicly disclosed—both noteworthy developments. Notably, as of September 2026, the developer documentation publicly details the testnet’s network status, nodes, miners, and development tools, confirming that Quip has moved beyond the conceptual stage into actual infrastructure development. As the pace of quantum computing advancement accelerates, it is not enough to simply produce more qubits. Equally important are: what real problems can be solved, whether these computations can be made accessible to everyone, and how existing financial and blockchain assets can be secured in the quantum era. Quip Network should be closely watched—not merely as a project viewing quantum computing as a future technology, but as one striving to bridge three critical domains: computing, blockchain, and asset security.
