Quantum computers have an unusual problem: they’re expensive to keep running, but they can’t simply be switched off whenever there’s no workload. That leaves valuable compute sitting idle. @quipnetwork is trying to turn that idle capacity into a marketplace: → operators list spare compute → users submit jobs and pay for what they use → workloads are routed across CPUs, GPUs, ASICs and QPUs → classical nodes verify the results That verification layer is the part I find most interesting. You shouldn’t have to blindly trust a quantum machine’s output. Having classical infrastructure independently check the result gives the network a path toward verifiable compute. It’s still early, with the testnet currently focused on optimization workloads running on D-Wave hardware. The big question is whether real demand follows. But putting expensive compute that would otherwise sit idle to work is a pretty sensible place to start.
