A good AI trading system should make strategy control feel conversational without making risk conversational. Every strategy has defined parameters: discovery, screening, position sizing, and exits. Natural language simply becomes the interface. You can say, “Set the bankroll limit to 3%.” The agent translates it, the system checks the allowed range, and invalid values are rejected. The important part is what the AI cannot do. It cannot raise a spending limit just because its strategy would work better. It cannot treat an old approval as permanent permission. It cannot switch strategies automatically when that action requires manual approval. Risk should not depend on a system prompt. It should be enforced through validation, confirmation, and audit trails. The same rules must apply whether an action comes from chat or automation. That is the real power of conversational AI: it simplifies the interface without becoming the authority. Speed should come from removing unnecessary complexity not from removing the rules.
