🚨 CRYPTO LOOKS EASY AFTER THE MOVE IS OVER You open X and see the same thing every day. Someone caught +80%. Someone turned a coin into a 3x. Someone somehow bought the exact bottom. After a while, it starts to feel like everyone is always early. They buy better. They sell better. They see things before you do. But social media usually shows you the result, not the position while it was still painful. You see the 3x. You don’t see the weeks of nothing happening. You don’t see the -30% drawdown. You don’t see the trader wondering whether the thesis was completely wrong. And you definitely don’t know how much they actually risked. That 4x winner might have been 2% of their portfolio. The same person might have lost much more somewhere else. The screenshot won’t tell you that. Charts create the same illusion. Today you can look back and say: “Obviously this was the buy.” Of course it looks obvious now. You already know what happened on the right side of the chart. When the trade was actually happening, that part of the chart didn’t exist yet. There was only uncertainty. That’s why comparing your entire trading experience to someone else’s best screenshot makes no sense. You remember every bad entry, every doubt and every mistake you made. You only see their highlight reel. Over time, I care less about the return screenshot and more about the process behind it. Why did they enter? How much did they risk? What would make them exit? How long were they willing to wait? Because a bad decision can still make money. And a good decision can still lose money in the short term. The PnL is the visible part. The real story is usually everything that happened before it.
