📌 The Two Sides of the Consumer 🔹 Once, the safest place for brands was “the middle”… Not too expensive, not too cheap; not too niche, nor too bold as to alienate the mass market. Reasonable price, reasonable quality, strong distribution, and sufficient awareness—this was a solid formula for growth for many years. 🔹 The famous “average consumer” of marketing also lived right here. Consumers were segmented by income, age, and lifestyle; their preferences for products and price ranges could be roughly predicted. 🔹 Today, finding this consumer is becoming increasingly difficult. Because the same person, who compares detergent prices at the supermarket and switches to a store brand, will happily pay significantly more just a few hours later for their coffee, skincare product, athletic shoes, or their pet’s food. ✍️ Written by Prof. Dr. Çisil SOHODOL (@cisilsohodol) https://t.co/cphjtGFU6H
