IRRATIONAL EXUBERANCE: At a high level, US is issuing/typing currency out of thin air, which is accepted by other countries to trade their goods for $. At a finer level, the currency is issued as debt and benefits bankers most, since they type it in, at interest. The power to issue a currency that everybody else accepts is considered quite an exceptional advantage for a single country. If POTUS prefers holding currency, rather than directly & immediately buying goods with that currency, the world will move on, as trade among humans dates back 300k years.
