The United States has brought 3 commercial reactors online since 2000. China has brought about 61 commercial power reactors online. China also has 37 reactors under construction (~38.6 GW) more than the rest of the world combined. This doesn't mean the United States hasn't built any reactors because during that same time the United States has put about 33 new naval reactors into commissioned warships. If we really want a Nuclear Energy Renaissance then we need to build and build fast. United States would need +15 to 20 GW online 2030 just to stay even with China.
