One country makes 94% of the world’s rare-earth magnets. That’s the actual robotics race 💁🏻‍♀️ @openmind_agi just scored 58 countries on Physical AI readiness - and it has almost nothing to do with models. Actuators are 40-60% of a humanoid’s cost. Cut China out of the supply chain and a robot’s price jumps from $46K to $131K. The index: China 82.9. Japan 69.6. US 69. Not a gap. A canyon. The US just banned foreign robotics parts, aimed mostly at China. Good headline, weak move - China spent 15 years building this lead. You don’t undo that with one policy. Everyone’s arguing about the wrong thing. You can fine-tune a model in a quarter. You can’t build a factory, an engineering base, and a supply chain in one. The question stopped being “whose AI is smarter.” It’s “who can actually build the thing.” Still betting on the model?
