the smartest hardware strategy here might be refusing to have one. Apple Watch, Whoop, Oura, CUDIS and Pulse already sit on people’s wrists. @sleepagotchi wants to plug into that existing behavior instead of asking users to buy another device. strategically, that turns fragmented wearable ecosystems into upstream inputs rather than competitors. the user keeps the hardware they already trust. Sleepagotchi competes one layer higher, where those signals are interpreted and turned into actions. there’s a tradeoff though. if you don’t own the sensor, proprietary measurement can’t be the moat. the differentiation has to come from how well you combine context across devices, understand the individual behind the numbers and make the next action useful. that’s a harder position to execute, but a cleaner one to scale. hardware companies can keep fighting over who measures recovery best. Sleepagotchi is trying to become the layer that decides what all that measurement is actually for. @NucleusCodes
