Power law. Which power law? THREE Bitcoin power laws actually did break, and you can see exactly when: UTXOs, Transaction, Addresses - all 3 have pretty much fallen off the power law map since 2018-2021. PRICE - price stands alone. It's merely -0.4 sigma from its fit line ONLY fit up to 2017; that's nothing for Bitcoin. No signs of wavering whatsoever. It is still compounding on about the same exponent, 5.7, long after the other adoption metrics have since melted away. But these are 'adoption' metrics - so how is this possible? - - - This is actually a GOOD sign. Those metrics were designed when the chain WAS 100% (or the good majority) of the network, so they're measuring a shrinking slice of it all the time. This isn't shrinking demand, it's actually growing demand with different instruments. As Bitcoin's market cap scales, so do its rails, and thus we rely less and less on individual wallet addresses to track adoption. Since PRICE has remained stable, I would argue - this carries forward and reinforces the narrative that adoption is STILL happening and STILL strong. And that adoption rate still follows a power law, as measured by price as the proxy.
