Does Bitcoin need to reclaim $82,000 to confirm the bottom? Bitcoin has staged an explosive recovery, climbing from around $64K to above $78K in a matter of days. But Galaxy Research says there is still one key technical level left to reclaim. Bitcoin’s 50-week moving average currently sits around $82,000. And its historical record is particularly interesting. According to Galaxy, in 11 of the 13 previous cases analyzed, reclaiming this moving average after losing it coincided with confirmation of a Bitcoin bottom. That is roughly 85% of cases. bitcoin:native is now only a few thousand dollars away from testing that level again. The distinction matters. The current rally shows that momentum has returned, but reclaiming $82K would provide a much stronger historical signal that the recent decline may have marked a bottom. After breaking through $70K, $75K and $78K, the market now has another number to watch. $82,000. If Bitcoin reclaims its 50-week moving average, history would once again be on the bulls’ side.
