What happens to your swap if a blockchain reorganizes mid-trade? On most systems, that’s the nightmare edge case nobody wants to explain. A temporary fork appears, a few blocks get orphaned, and a swap that looked perfectly confirmed can suddenly settle against a chain history that no longer exists or freeze completely while the protocol tries to figure out what just happened. Reorgs are not theoretical. They still occur, especially on faster or less mature chains. Traditional bridges and DEXes usually respond by demanding longer confirmation windows. That slows everything down and still leaves a residual risk window. If the reorg is deeper than expected, the trade can land on the wrong state. @Pact_Swap takes a different approach. Its Coinweb contracts do not treat finality as a one-time checkpoint. They continuously re-evaluate the canonical chain state. When a reorganization happens, the contract simply re-reads the blockchain’s eventual true final state and settles the trade from there. A temporary reorg cannot trick the system into executing against an orphaned block. The swap waits for the lasting truth of the chain and only then completes. No forced assumptions. No fragile confirmation counts. Just deterministic settlement based on what the blockchain itself ultimately accepts. That is the difference between infrastructure built for the happy path and infrastructure built for the real world of probabilistic consensus. Blocks can reverse. Your trade can’t.
