Most people think Bitcoin security starts with the hardware wallet. It doesn’t. It starts with entropy. A seed phrase generated with insufficient randomness isn’t protected by 24 words. It’s protected by however many bits of entropy those words actually contain. The lesson isn’t, don’t trust hardware wallets. The lesson is simpler: The quality of your randomness determines the quality of your security. That’s a concept every Bitcoiner should understand.
