🚨SENATE HAS JUST 5 DAYS LEFT TO PASS CLARITY ACT BEFORE RECESS! The U.S. Senate is set to enter its summer state work period around August 7-10, leaving roughly 5 working days. The bill has already passed the House and cleared the Senate Banking Committee. It still needs a full floor vote requiring 60 votes. Majority Leader John Thune said in late July he does not expect it to be finished before the break, though he wants to at least start the process. Sen. Cynthia Lummis has since said she believes a vote is still planned. No cloture motion has been filed and it is not currently scheduled.
