Long-Term Holders Are Reaching a Historic Zone The percentage of long-term Bitcoin holder supply in profit has fallen to levels that have historically aligned with major market bottoms. This same on-chain metric reached similar readings near the $3K bottom in 2018 and the $16K bottom in 2022. Today, it is once again approaching those extreme levels while Bitcoin trades around $62K. What makes this signal important is that it reflects the conviction of long-term investors. When the majority of long-term holders are no longer sitting on large unrealized gains, selling pressure tends to fade, allowing strong accumulation to take place. No indicator can predict an exact bottom, but historically this metric has identified periods where risk-to-reward became increasingly attractive for long-term investors. Patience has rewarded those willing to accumulate during periods of maximum pessimism in previous cycles, and the current data suggests we may be approaching another one of those moments.
