Coldcard users (and all hardware wallet users) important distinction: It’s NOT that BIP-39 seed phrases are broken. The real risk is the entropy used to generate them. If the randomness is weak, biased, or compromised, your 12/24 words can look secure while being predictable. ⚠️ This applies to ALL wallets (Ledger, Trezor, BitBox, etc.). Security depends on RNG quality. Best practices: • Use user-provided entropy (dice rolls) • Combine multiple entropy sources when possible • Prefer open-source / well-audited firmware • For large funds: consider air-gapped/offline seed generation Hardware wallet ≠ guaranteed security. The real question: how was your randomness created? 🔐₿
