Deep reality checks are needed. You will ruin people's lives if you thrust responsibilities upon them that they are not equipped to deal with. It is morally wrong and harmful to Bitcoin in the long run. As far as I'm concerned, Multi-Sig is now the Gold Standard for sovereign individuals and self custody setups. This is not a problem for me or ideological Bitcoiners. For the person who doesn't care about any of that and just wants number go up? It's not worth it. This is not an attack on Bitcoin and it will continue to thrive. Enough people like me will continue to run a node and self custody. The option will always be there for motivated individuals who want it. However, it could not be more obvious that this is not for everyone. If you keep enforcing a technical and ideological standard on people who just want number go up, you will do more harm than good when things inevitably go wrong. Eventually as grown men we have a responsibility to accept the world for what it is, not for what we want it to be.
