Ongoing RISK-the dormant error within the Coldcards Roughly 594 BTC (~$38 million) was swept in ~25 minutes from ~500 single-signature wallets; later on-chain mapping by groups such as Galaxy Research put related activity closer to 1,000+ BTC / ~$70 million across more addresses. Many of those UTXOs had been untouched since 2021–2023. Because updating firmware does not fix an already-generated weak seed, any remaining vulnerable wallets are still at risk until the owners carefully migrate.
